For Partners in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut
WHAT WE DO
Minds Wide Open Psychotherapy provides in-person and telehealth couples therapy for partners who want to feel more connected, understood, and secure in their relationship. We work exclusively with couples, including queer and LGBTQ+ couples, offering a supportive and affirming space to slow down, reflect, and truly hear one another.
All sessions are conducted either in person in Montclair, NJ, or online, allowing couples located in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut to access relationship counseling from the comfort and privacy of their own space.
Couples Therapy is about Connection, Not Blame
Many couples come to therapy feeling stuck in the same painful patterns—miscommunication, emotional distance, recurring conflict, or a sense of disconnection that’s hard to describe.
Our work together is:
Relational and collaborative
Focused on understanding emotions and reactions beneath conflict
Grounded in awareness, curiosity, and compassion
Rather than trying to “fix” one partner, couples therapy here supports both people in developing healthier ways of relating, strengthening communication, and deepening intimacy over time.
Affirming Support for Queer Couples
We proudly offer queer-affirming couples therapy for LGBTQ+ partners. Therapy is a space where identities, relationship structures, and lived experiences are respected and understood — not explained or defended.
Couples often come to explore:
Connection and communication
Trust, safety, and emotional closeness
Life transitions and relational stressors
Building relationships that feel aligned and authentic
How Online Couples Therapy Works
